When will we get to see color added? :D
Oh man. Part of what makes it a "work in progress" is that most of it won't have color. I just don't have time; my choice came down to releasing it in black and white or not releasing it at all. I wanted to get it out and think the B&W art stands on its own (a couple of people have told me they prefer it). My *ultimate* plan is to color it for whatever form it takes (if any) after it's a webcomic, although I could also see going back and swapping in colored pages once I finish all the ink work. Hope you'll keep reading anyway!
My mistake, I likely misremembered you mentioning something about "getting around to coloring" some panels. Probably mixing this project up with a post/posts from another illustrator/animator friend (I've got quite a few actually, you guys tend to be damn cool friends to have it turns out). And I'm certainly not clamoring for color… B&W seems to be working just fine here. I'm sold anyway. :)
Great job so far, Brian! Love the logical explanation for what happened to the Inventor's lair.
Hey, Brian, just rereading during winter break and spotted a typo (engineers, panel 2). But what I was really hoping to find was, color, or - better yet - a publishing date. Any news?Susan Smith/Chemistx2
Susan, great to hear from you! Unknown hundreds (thousands?) of people have read this page without spotting that typo, including me! You've done me a tremendous service. In fact I recently finished coloring the entire story and was surprised what a difference it made--looks pretty good. Now it's just a matter of finding the right home for it. No news to report yet but I'm working on it . . . Thanks again!
