  1. You and your foreshadowing.

Btw, this page was responsible for me giving an impromptu piano recital for my non-musical Significant Other at the break of day so she could say, "Oh! That's ______!"

Roy Doty would be proud of the after-reading activities you inspire.

  2. I knew I could count on you, Jim. Just a little multimedia Easter egg. Also, foreshadowing isn't always as clear as it may seem (that's why it's shadowy)!

  4. OK, I'll keep it to myself. But I first heard it on Lawrence Welk when I was three. (...and I'm moderately pleased with myself for not needing an instrument to identify it.)

  5. i can read music, and i used the web piano to play it... and i THINK i have heard it before, but i just can't REMEMBER! AAArrrgh! Will someone please send me a link or the name of the song or something so i stop going nuts over this! Haven't read all the way through the archive, so maybe it clears things up later... sigh... 6. I sympathize with your frustration!

Google "Henry Clay Work" and see if anything looks familiar.

  7. I used the Noteflight site to enter the notes and play it. I didn't have to go too far before I recognized it. Nice touch.

  8. That is a song I've played often on my banjo... even so, it took me a bit to recognize it! :)
