I'm as humble as the next guy (no, really!), but I've gotta say I quite like how the Robot looks here--one of those rare drawings that turned out pretty much how I imagined it. ;-)
Yeah, the Robot looks great. But I really noticed two other things: 1) Helen has her shoes off and you drew her barefooted (shoes are much easier to draw), but I like that she's the type of gal who kicks her shoes off after a long day; 2) the library really needs to upgrade its computers. - K.
I've got to say, this bottom panel, and the bottom of #135 are easily my two favorite images of the entire series. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, K. Helen does like to kick off her sensible pumps at the end of a long day walking the stacks of her beloved library. Regarding the old-timey computers (and phones), recall that this story takes place in 2005 (see page 9). I just remember the types of tech I used to have (or in the case of my flip phone that still works perfectly well, thank you, still have).Anonymous, thanks! I will keep up the good work as best I can.
I second the praise for the bottom panel. It looks exactly like it ought, especially given the animation that inspired this whole thing.
Thank you, ba!
