Page 165

FIRST      PREV      NEXT      LAST

New readers and Eisner voters! Thanks for dropping by, I appreciate it. If you'd like to catch up, I recommend beginning with my story's Preface before going on to Page 1. It's a pretty quick read.

You can use the links above to navigate, or click on each page to advance to the next.

And if you like the story, please come back and tell a friend. Thanks!

  2. Still loving this comic. Hope you'll forgive me for this though: http://jeriendhal.livejournal.com/1227589.html

  3. Forgive you?! It's one of the coolest things I've ever seen! I don't think I've ever been fan-fictioned before.

Anybody interested in an ending to "The Last Mechanical Monster" that's very different from mine (and, frankly, I couldn't even write) is encouraged to check that link. Neat alternative history, I enjoyed it! Thanks.

    1. *second try*

Thank you! I know you can't show the Big Blue Boy Scout for copyright reasons, so I figured it might be a little easier as a text story.

    2. Love it. I'm reading the comments over there but didn't want to poke my nose in and interfere. I like your thoughts on Lillian's motives. There's no Superman in my story for both copyright and storytelling reasons: I figure everyone in my world already knows what happened to Superman so they don't sit around discussing it. Maybe he's around, maybe he isn't. On an entirely different topic, I will point out that one of Sparky's mourners on Page 164 included a tall strapping fellow wearing glasses....

  4. I was pointed here by Jeriendhal, after reading his fic.

Both this, and that fic, made me tear up a little. It's brilliant.

Yes, copyright and such do interfere, although I've seen people do wonders with silhouettes, shadows, and off-panel commentary. In any event, this is a brilliant bit of work and I'm going to point other people to it.
